New Traditions

New house, new traditions!

We knew we finally wanted to get a real tree this year. It was time to pack away the fake one we bought ages ago.

During the Fall we got our pumpkins at The Kinsey Family Farm. We had such a blast picking out pumpkins, seeing the animals, and eating boiled peanuts, that when we found out they are a Christmas Tree Farm as well, we knew we would return in December!

You can pick out a pre-cut tree, or you can head out into the field & cut down one of your own.

We were all about doing it ourselves.

The walk proved to be somewhat difficult with two tiny ones running around, but it was okay to let them roam, since we were one of the first few people to get there for the day.

I took pictures.

The gals played in the mud.

Dave cut the tree down.

Unfortunately, our tree was a bit on the wonky side, it was a challenge to get into a stand, but with some improvising, it's standing.

For now.

We spent the afternoon decorating & watching the gals steal ornaments off the tree to push around in their grocery cart. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with it!

One of the cool parts about this farm, is they give you an ornament every year you buy a tree there.

We will definitely be going back next year!
